A Week in the Big Apple

A trip to New York City for a week is like a splash of inspiration into that everyday grey routine.
Me and my partner and best friend Eldad Rafaeli, who is also my very personal photographer, roamed the streets in that cool crisp winter weather. I'm always dressed up and wearing one of my scarves, not to miss any of those great photo opportunities on the street...
We had so much luck and perfect weather, with those rare moments of light, of such incredible quality which we never have back home...
Coming to this big city always means 2 things to me:
one : places, sights and feelings which remind me of that time when I used to live in NY during my studies at Parsons School of Design in the early 90's.
two : the urge and curiosity to go and see as much art as possible, so I can absorb it all, so it would last as much as possible...
You never have enough time in NY.
I remember that feeling from when I used to live here: the New Yorker had those endless listings of all the shows, exhibitions, operas, concerts.... I knew I would never be able to see it all, and got frustrated before I even started...
But none the less we did see some incredible art! It is so refreshing and exhilarating to feel what an important role the arts play here. To see the long lines of people waiting to get into the museum (even though most of them experience the show by walking through and taking pictures with their smartphones)... I remember myself as a student in NY. Coming to see all those great masters in the museums.... I could never get enough of it...
We did have some spare time though to meet some old and new friends...
And stumble across a small reminder of what we were actually looking for...
